INTRODUCTION

WordPress is an award-winning content management system (CMS), which enables you to easily build websites.

This course will take you through the process of creating dynamic interactive websites from scratch using the free WordPress Content Management System (CMS).

Each participant will learn how to create a professional website using the WordPress Content Management System. WordPress allows easy building and editing of websites without the need for an understanding of complex databases, difficult scripting languages and website security.

WordPress is open source and free for all.

This course will be an important foundation for anyone maintaining or creating websites, web pages, html emails or any web content.

REQUIREMENTS

Basic computer literacy.

Prior knowledge of HTML, CSS, MySQL and JavaScript is an added advantage but is not a mandatory requirement.

METHODOLOGY

This instructor led training is delivered using a blended learning approach and comprises of presentations, guided sessions of practical exercise, web based tutorials and group work. 

Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience, working as professional and trainers in these fields.

All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English. The participants should be reasonably proficient in English.

ACCREDITATION

Upon successful completion of this training course, participants will be issued with a Tech For Development - T4D certificate of participation.

TRAINING VENUE

The training is residential and will be held at Tech For Development - T4D Training Centre. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments, lunch, and study visits.

All participants will additionally cater for their, travel expenses, visa application, insurance, and other personal expenses.
