Diploma in Human Resource Management

The KNEC Human Resource Management Diploma, offers learners a 24 month qualification, which will fully equip them with skills and understanding to support HR careers in both Public and Private Organisations. The course is theoretical in context, with the added addition of contextualisation and hands-on activity and support. Through the small class sizes, learners will acquire skills to set them apart in the job market.

The course content will ensure that students are at the top of the industry with skills in all areas of HR, from planning and strategizing to directly interacting with, and managing employees, ensuring business objectives are met. The wide variety of modules provides a holistic understanding of Human Resource Management. The curriculum also exposes students to the concepts of Entrepreneurship, allowing them to start a small business and see the alternatives of salaried employment. An attachment and research project provide the student practical experience and application opportunities to put the course content into practice. 6. Principles and Practice of Marketing
7. Business Plan

Module 3:

1. Principles and Practice of Management
2. Employee Relations
3. Organizational Theory and Behaviour
4. Managerial Accounting
5. Reward Management
6. Financial Management
7. Trade Project

Students will be equipped to:

• Plan for the Human Resource requirements in the organisation
• Manage the performance of employees
• Engage with Strategic Human Resource Management
• Analyse situations and requirements
• Interact with employees, solving a range of situations that may arise.
• Support, and achieve business objectives through the application of the above.

Entry Requirements:  C minus (C-) KCSE average grade

Course Costs:   60,000KES per module

Upon completion of this programme students will be awarded with a Diploma in Human Resource Management accredited by KNEC.
