Diploma in Business Management

The KNEC Business Management Diploma, offers learners a 24 month qualification, which will fully equip them with skills and understanding to support middle management positions in both Public and Private Organisations. With the addition of an entrepreneurship focus, and the holistic nature of the curriculum, learners will also in a position to start, or manage their own business. The course is theoretical in context, with the added addition of contextualisation and hands-on activity and support. Through the small class sizes, learners will acquire skills to set them apart in the job market.

Through the inclusion of accounting, marketing, human resources and law related units, the course provides the perfect platform for graduates to launch into an expanding industry. Having secured both practical and theoretical understanding of the concepts and techniques, through the unique combination of the KNEC curriculum, small class sizes and interactive teaching methods of Edulink, students will enter the world of employment with a professional edge in the growing sector.

The course content will ensure that students are at the top of the industry with skills all elements needed to manage a business, administratively and strategically. Critical thinking skills will ensure they are able to plan, manage, and analyse a range of situations in order to effectively achieve business objectives. The wide variety of modules provides a holistic understanding of Business Management. The curriculum also exposes students to the concepts of Entrepreneurship, allowing them to start a small business and see the alternatives of salaried employment. An attachment and research project provide the student practical experience and application opportunities to put the course content into practice. In addition this provides a portfolio of experience to support in securing employment opportunities post-graduation.

1. Managerial Accounting
2. Organisation Theory and Behaviour
3. Human Resource Management

5. Labour and Industrial Relations
6. Research Methods
7. Research Project

Students will be equipped to:

A 24 month qualification, to equip students in Business and Administrative careers at a middle management level, or self-employment.

• Understand the Human Resource requirements in the organisation
• Comply with legal issues in a business setting
• Plan for, and execute marketing strategies
• Engage with, and understand the accounting function
• Analyse situations and requirements
• Strategically plan for the business, considering all business functions
• Support, and achieve business objectives through the application of the above.

Entry Requirements: C plain KCSE average grade

Course Costs:  60,000 KES per module

Upon completion of this programme students will be awarded with a Diploma in Business Management accredited by KNEC.
