Menstrual health and preventing teenage pregnancy

AICS Training Institute Ltd is a social enterprise of a non-profit Pan African NGO - the African Institute for Children Studies (AICS). AICS is currently operational in Kenya, Uganda and South Sudan, with plans to open offices in other countries in Africa.  We enable individuals and institutions to improve their impact on children by providing knowledge and capacity building support. Our main programs are training, policy advocacy, data insights, research and evaluations. Our training emphasize practical skills and are child rights based. In most of our training programs, students must complete a practicum report.  We have a pool of trainers from academia and practitioners to adequately expose our students to both worlds. We cover thematic areas of child protection, child health, education, workplace programs and organization development. Some of the training courses are offered in collaboration with the Institute of Child Development at Daystar University, Centre for Child Wellbeing in Arizona State University, and Institute for Children Rights in University of Geneva. We have provided trainings to staff in NGOs and development partners such Danish Refugee Council, International Labour Organization, Terre des Hommes and USAID Kenya. We also provide our students with access to our wide network of experts as mentors (AICS Associates) and organizations through www.childrenagendaforum.org.
