Introduction
The Kenya Red Cross Society is a humanitarian relief organization created through an Act of Parliament, Cap 256 of the Laws of Kenya on 21st December 1965. As a voluntary organization, the Kenya Red Cross operates through a network of 58 branches and six regional offices throughout Kenya. Kenya Red Cross Society through the International Centre for Humanitarian Affairs runs a fully-fledged NITA accredited training institute for DOSH and NITA certified courses, among other vocational and technical courses.

As auxiliary to the National and County Governments we will work with our communities, volunteers and partners to ensure we prepare for and respond to our humanitarian and development needs. Kenya Red Cross Society Training Experience
Since inception in December 1965, Kenya Red Cross Society has been providing humanitarian assistance to Kenyans affected by both natural and manmade emergencies and disasters. During every response, efforts have been hampered by lack of adequate knowledge by the public on management of common occurring emergencies. The need to start a First Aid component and address this gap became a necessity. Thus, for over 40 years.
