INTRODUCTION

SPSS is a statistical analysis tool that enables any firm or individual analyze enormous data in order to understand it. It is commonly used to draw correlations between variables and make statistically valid forecasts for future results. This course will provide its participants with skills to understand the uses of SPSS, as a tool to summarize and aid in the interpretation of research findings.

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Participation.

·         Use of Mobile Phones for Data Collection and Processing

Module Two: Data Entry, management and Manipulation

·         Define and label variables

·         Enter categorical and continuous data

·         Exploring data Selecting and sorting cases

·         Merging files

·         Replacing missing values

·         Restructuring data

·         Syntax and output

·         Transform, recode and compute variable

·         Tabulations and Graphics

Module Three: Advanced Statistical Analysis

·         Correlation and simple linear regression

·         Data Reduction Methods

·         Introduction to Econometric Analysis

·         Introduction to estimation and hypothesis testing

·         Introduction to Longitudinal Analysis Using SPSS

·         Introduction to Time Series Analysis

·         One sample tests: sign, t-test, and signed rank tests

·         Regression Analysis

·         Three or more samples

·         Two-sample tests: t-test, Mann-Whitney test

GENERAL NOTES

·         The instructor led trainings are delivered using a blended learning approach and comprises of presentations, guided sessions of practical exercise, web-based tutorials and group work. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience, working as professional and trainers in these fields.

·         The participants should be reasonably proficient in English as all facilitation and course materials will be offered in English.

·         Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued with a certificate.

·         The training will be held at Kincaid Training Centre. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments and lunch.
