With the negative impacts of the farming practices to the environment, climate change is expected to have a damaging effect on crop and livestock production, hence smallholder farmers’ way of life is affected. Climate smart agriculture practices
sustainably increase agricultural productivity, support equitable increases in farm incomes, food security and development; adapting and building resilience of agricultural and food security systems to climate change at multiple levels; and reducing greenhouse
gas emissions from agriculture.
