Details
Development actors prior to intervening in a specific country have to analyze the status of food security in the respective nation. A number of analysis has to be carried out to understand food security in a specific nation. The analysis includes; Comprehensive Food Security and Vulnerability Analyses-CFSVAs, Emergency assessments and market analyses-EFSA. the development actors use a number of technologies such as GIS, satellite imagery, and mobile applications to analyze and manage data. Other development actors enter into partnerships to establish Food Security Monitoring Systems (FSMS) for continuous monitoring of food security conditions and market prices. This course will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to analyze the concepts of food security.

Who Should Attend?
This course targets UN partners, governments and NGOs in charge of creating policies, programs and partnering with WFP to combat hunger. It also targets Agricultural extensions officials partnering with communities, and finance corporations, and research agencies.
Methodology
The instructor led trainings are delivered using a blended learning approach and comprises of presentations, guided sessions of practical exercise, web-based tutorials and group work. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience, working as professionals and trainers in these fields.
All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English. The participants should be reasonably proficient in English.
Accreditation
Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued with an Indepth Research Institute (IRES) certificate certified by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA).
Training Venue
The training will be held at IRES Training Centre. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments and lunch.
All participants will additionally cater for their, travel expenses, visa application, insurance, and other personal expenses.
