INTRODUCTION
Application of scientific research and new knowledge to agricultural practices through farmer education is called extension. The field of 'extension' now encompasses a wide range of communication and learning activities organized for rural people by educators from different disciplines. Agricultural extension services provide critical knowledge in the form of techniques and skills to farmers, with the aim to improve the productivity and sustainability of their operations. Over the years, improvements in extension services have been noted. This have culminated into best extension practices.
