INTRODUCTION
Understanding the standards and quality systems in agricultural produce is important to ensure the produce is safe for human consumption and meet the stipulated regulations for export. Producing quality produce that meets international standards also reduce wastage resulting from rejection by exporting companies due to excess residuals in the products which consequently reduce profit received by farmers. This 5 days course will equip participants with knowledge including the importance of standards and quality systems for the agrifood sector.
